Backgrounder

The Enterprise 50 or E50 is an annual ranking of Singapore's 50 most enterprising, privately-held local companies. Launched in 1995, E50 is organised by Andersen Consulting and The Business Times with EDB's support.

The companies' rankings are based on weighted averages of selected performance indicators such as operating profit before tax, turnover and profit growth over the last four years. In the last three years, 18 E50 companies have been listed on the Stock Exchange.
