In this scenario by using the existing copper cable going to the fields the CBS can be installed at remote locations. Each Base Station requires 3 Pair to be extended. So, depending upon the required number of Base Station can be installed in the area to get the proper coverage. The CBS can be extended up to a copper length of 4 Km. Typically. The DIU will be installed in the Exchange premises and some CBS can be installed co-located on the tower to provide the local coverage.
